We only use UV stable Resin Mixes. Many contactors may offer alternative None UV resin which is prone to yellowing, fading and generally, losing its original stone colour. It is also cheaper but we believe in a long lasting driveway that is resistant to the suns UV rays and backed by our 20 year guarantee.

A resin bound driveway from Lightway Surfacing will be both permeable and SuDS compliant. Government mandates that a driveway must be self draining else planning permission is required - it helps reduce flooding within the local area. Lightway have completed many driveways and we can advise you of the best solution to ensure the water drains to the sub base.

Resin Bound has a reputation for being slippy. This is not the case. A resin bound driveway from Lightway will have a glass coating for improved slip resistance and will naturally increase in strength over time.

Due to the natural porosity associated with a Resin Bound system, the water will not stay within the driveway and will filter through into the Earth. This will ensure water does not freeze and crack the resin bound system as well as reducing Ice/Frost for slippy surfaces.
